Construction recommendations

I. Reduction of construction time

In order to accelerate the construction of the access rail track and other construction works (removal of communications, excavation of the roadbed, etc.), it is possible to proceed right after collecting the technical conditions and confirming the location. As practice shows, the parallel construction and design of the road can reduce the overall construction period to six months. However, in this situation, the current legislation is violated, as the customer does not yet have a building permit. In this regard, it must be understood that a construction organization can undertake construction only if the customer issues a settlement of the issues of penalties and interaction with the authorities. The construction in the railroad diversion zone can be officially launched without a building permit after approval of the project by the chief engineer.

II. Reducing costs

1. Savings when obtaining specifications.

Bear in mind that each concordant tries to enter as many burdening conditions as possible in order to strengthen their own economy. As a result, the cost of construction can increase at times. We recommend that an experienced employee who understands what encumbrances are really needed and which can not do without services an approval. If there is no such employee in your company, it is better to transfer the function of gathering and agreeing the technical conditions of a specialized organization.

2. Savings when concluding a contract for construction.

It is desirable to conclude contracts and purchase materials from December to March, when prices are minimal and fixed. It is possible to fix the amount of the contract for the entire construction period (if the construction is carried out within a year).

3. Savings in the choice of materials.

In order to reduce the costs for the construction of the access rail track and to save operating costs, we further recommend the use of old-age railway reinforced concrete sleepers (pre-assembled), old rails (first and second groups) and crushed stone of less than 1000 units for the topside structure. Wooden sleepers on sections of curves with a radius of less than 300 m (because of the impossibility of using w / b sleepers) and turnouts we recommend to always lay new ones, since their service life is less than for old-year rails and reinforced concrete sleepers. So, the grille of old-fashioned rail and reinforced concrete ties, provided that small volumes of traffic and low speeds can serve 50 years or more. New wooden sleepers and bars, as well as metal parts of turnouts, serve 15-20 years.
